In May we are returning to Peter's first letter. Having studied the first two chapters some months ago, we will now complete the final three chapters. Of course Peter has featured significantly in the story of Jesus' arrest, death and resurrection that we have been looking at during recent weeks.

Now we will explore how Peter draws on his experiences of being with Jesus and his joys and failures to teach the growing church - and us today.

Communion at CFSR

Each month – normally on the first Sunday of the month in this Church – we celebrate communion. We do this because, when he celebrated his final Passover with his disciples, Jesus commanded that we remember his death in this way (see Luke 22:19). In different church traditions, Communion may be called by different names, for example the Eucharist (meaning "thanksgiving"), the Breaking of Bread or the Lord’s Supper.
